I’m a busy mom, wife and homemaker with a full time career. I’m not a spring chicken with all of her parts on autopilot to perfect perkiness. I didn’t play sports in high school. I wasn’t ever particularly athletic. I haven’t always been in shape. I look the way that I do because I’ve chosen to.
Along with this choice comes commitment, planning and doing what I don’t feel like doing when I don’t feel like doing it. I build my training and my meals into my day to day the way I build in laundry, cleaning, food shopping and running my kids to I and from their activities. I do it in spite of time, fatigue and even injury.
You see, it really is that simple. Is it hard? Hell yeah it’s hard! Do I get tired and burned out? Absolutely! Does that effect me? NEVER. Why, because it’s “my” choice. My commitment to myself. It’s a mind set. It’s a lifestyle. It’s who I choose to be. It’s what makes me tick. IT IS WHO I AM!
So if you want it too. Then decide, commit, prepare and just do it! Don’t just talk about it. BE about it.
